Coach partners with the WNBA

Coach has partnered with the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) to become the official handbag of the league. As a part of this multi-year collaboration, Coach will share the stories of five draftees — Paige Bueckers (University of Connecticut), Hailey Van Lith (Texas Christian University), Aneesah Morrow (Louisiana State University), Kiki Iriafen (University of South California) and Sonia Citron (Notre Dame). The brand will also participate in league events, including the All-Stars Game and WNBA Pride. {Fashionista inbox}

Sandbridge Capital raises its stake in Dedcool

How “Made-in-America” brands are benefitting from tariffs

Brands already produced in the U.S. see tariffs as an opportunity. The tariff hikes now put these American-made labels at an advantage, given their products won’t face major price increases. They can also promote compelling storytelling on the benefits of investing in domestically-manufactured apparel. However, they still face some obstacles: International business is chaos right now, and U.S.-based consumers are spending less due to economic uncertainty. {Business of Fashion/paywalled}

What the “de minimis” reversal means for cheaper goods

President Donald Trump’s reversal of de minimis — a century-old law allowing shipments valued at $800 or less to receive tariff exemptions — will highly impact sellers of lower-priced goods. Though the rollback currently only applies to China, many TikTok Shop sellers, plus sites like Temu and Shein, import most of their products from China. While this will cause sellers to increase pricing — or focus on cheap goods not affected by the reversal — experts see this as an opportunity to boost high-value, high-quality goods that can result in better customer retention. {Glossy/paywalled}
