On Tuesday morning, the Council of Fashion Designers of America announced the 10 finalists for this year’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. The winner of one of the most prestigious awards in American fashion will receive a grand prize of $300,000, and two runners-up will each take home $100,000. All finalists will receive opportunities for business mentorship.

This year’s talented crop of designers includes indie favorites Peter Do, Bach Mai, Bernard James and Meruert Tolegen, among others. The 2025 selection committee also features some of fashion’s top voices, such as Anna Wintour, Aurora James, Paloma Elsesser, Roopal Patel, Thom Browne and more.

“Now entering its third decade, we see just how much the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund has transformed American fashion into a diverse and inclusive industry, and this year’s designers underscore the point,” CFDA CEO Steven Kolb said in a statement. “We look forward to seeing how the finalists will make their mark on American fashion.”

As part of the competition, designer Tommy Hilfiger will again serve as lead mentor for the 10 finalists’ design challenge. For the third year, Nordstrom is also inviting the finalists to participate in the Nordstrom Secure the Space Challenge, where one winner’s collection will enter select Nordstrom stores for an upcoming season. The Secure the Space Challenge will be held on June 12.

This year’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner will be announced on Nov. 18 at a celebratory dinner gala in New York City.
