Jennifer Lawrence’s bag collection is enviable, only matched by that of Rihanna and her legion of rare, bag charm-adorned LVs. But on the streets of New York City, Lawrence comes swinging.
The actor stepped out in New York to run some errands: A task, of course, that calls for a casual and relaxed fit. The actor opted for a sheer red long sleeve top, baggy indigo jeans, tortoiseshell sunglasses, and a black sneaker-ballerina hybrid shoe. She also toted one of her favorite bags from her archives: A leopard print Prada bag. Lawrence has been spotted more than once with the long sold out, slouchy, calf-hair bag.
An elevated accessory is a simple, go-to J Law styling trick; whether it’s a statement bag, or a novelty baseball cap. Often, when dressing for a more laidback day in cozy knitwear, big coats, and sweatpants, Lawrence will elevate the look with a signature handbag. Sometimes that’s an on-trend and archival Fendi doctor’s bag, a Loewe bowling bag, or an ultra rare alligator Hermès Bolide it-bag. Top-handled or tote, east-west or capacious shoulder number: the Jennifer Lawrence collection stands strong. Leopard print is also a reoccurring detail in Lawrence’s wardrobe, particularly, a paneled coat from By Malene Birger.

It’s a much more casual look too, after her return from the compact chaos of the croisette at Cannes Film Festival. Lawrence made appearances to promote her forthcoming film, Die, My Love; directed by Lynne Ramsay and opposite co-star Robert Pattinson, Lawrence is already receiving rave reviews for her performance. In Cannes, she played the perfect Dior ambassador, attended a chic dinner in a full, flowy, floral maxi dress. On the red carpet, she wore a spectacularly sculptural Dior gown with cream pleats, inspired by an archival look from the 1940s. Her second gown of the evening was just as impressive: A sleek velvet Dior gown with one shoulder and a train.
While she walked that Cannes carpet with her husband Cooke Maroney and fooled around with Pattinson, on returning to New York, Lawrence made time to grab dinner with friend and fellow actor Dakota Johnson. Both women opted for smart casual looks, respectively choosing oversized blazers and overcoats.
Lawrence, of course, toted a brown alligator Lady bag by The Row. Another one, thank you.
