Erivo, who frequently wears Christian Louboutin among other brands, has been vocal about her love of tall heels, and she showcased that passion yet again for her latest late night talk show engagement. She wore a pair of towering black satin heels from Giambattista Valli‘s fall 2017 couture collection. This particular style makes a distinctive statement with a pointed toe jutting out over the edge of a large platform, forgoing the seamless connection between upper and sole displayed by some platform heels.

The silhouette also features an ultra-high heel and a buckled strap reaching across the top of the foot in a mary jane-adjacent look. When it comes to wearing bold platforms, Erivo is in the company of fellow celebrities like Taylor Swift, who recently wore a silver Gucci sandal pair while out in New York City.

Erivo’s Giambattista Valli platforms emboldened a suit look with an exaggerated silhouette courtesy of McQueen. The sharply tailored ensemble included a single-breasted blazer with pointed padded shoulders, red satin grosgrain accents and a single button fastened at the waist.

A stark white top with a belted wing tip collar and a pleated miniskirt with a distressed hemline were part of the outfit as well. Not one to miss out on a matching nail look, Erivo modeled a gradient red manicure, which picked up the red touches on her jacket.

Erivo performed her song “Best For Me” from her upcoming album “I Forgive You” on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.” In addition to her solo music career, she’s been in the spotlight quite a bit lately as the star of the “Wicked” movie adaptation, which earned two Academy Awards in March including best costume design for Paul Tazewell. Following the release of part one in the fall, the trailer for part two “Wicked: For Good” was recently released.
