
OAKLAND, Calif. — The Glacier Range Riders were shut out over the first seven innings as the Oakland Ballers piled on runs to cruise to a 15-3 victory in Pioneer League baseball Sunday.
It was the third straight loss for the Range Riders (11-19) as the Ballers (21-9) retained their spot atop of the Pioneer League standings, winning five out of the six-game series.
Oakland won late Saturday 10-6.

The Ballers got to starter Ty Bothwell, the reigning PBL Pitcher of the Week, early and often. Cam Bufford started the scoring with a solo home run in the second inning before Pat Monteith capped off the inning with a two-run shot to make it 4-0.
Dillon Tatum hit a home run in the fourth, scoring two runs, before Tremane Cobb Jr, hit into a fielder’s choice for an RBI. The Ballers plated two more runs in the seventh to make it 9-0 before the Range Riders offense responded.
With two outs, TJ Clarson was hit by a pitch to load the bases before Logan Beard laced a double to center field to clear the bases and cut the lead to 9-3. In the top of the ninth inning, Kingston Liniak hit a single with one out before Gabe Howell grounded into a double play to end the game.
Beard collected two of the Range Riders’ six hits, with the only extra-base hit and RBIs. Liniak finished with two singles; Drew Sims and John Mabry collected the other two hits.
Tatum was a force at the plate for the Ballers, homering twice on his way to six RBIs. Daniel Harris IV hit a three-run home run in the eighth inning for his second hit of the day. The Ballers hit five home runs total and 17 hits.

The Range Riders took a 6-5 lead into the eighth inning before the Ballers plated five runs to complete the comeback.
TJ Clarkson’s seventh home run of the season, and fifth in seven games, broke a 2-2 tie in the fifth inning. Christian Almanza hit a three-run shot in the bottom half of the inning to led the Ballers retake the lead, 5-3.
Liniak answered in the sixth with a two-run shot to tie the game before Efrain Manzo hit into a fielder’s choice to score Jack Lynch to make it 6-5. Ryan Pierced doubled in the eighth to tie the game before the Range Riders committed two costly errors; their third of the inning, resulting in four more runs scoring.
Nick Zenga took the loss after allowing two hits, two walks and five runs (none of them earned) in the eighth inning. Both teams collected 12 hits and committed three errors.
Kenneth Levari led the Range Riders with three hits and two runs scored. Clarkson, Liniak, Gabe Howell and Jack Lynch each had multi-hit games with Lynch scoring two runs.
