Mississippi State football recruiting: OT Dalton Toothman commits


STARKVILLE — Mississippi State football lost and gained commitments at offensive linemen for its 2026 recruiting class on June 23.

First, three-star Jakobe Green decomitted from the Bulldogs. Shortly after in the evening, Vancleave three-star Dalton Toothman announced his commitment to MSU with a graphic on Instagram.

“After a great consideration and deep talk with my family, I will be decommitting from Mississippi State,” Green, who had been committed to Mississippi State since February, wrote in an X post.

Green’s decommitment came after he officially visited Mississippi State over the weekend.

Toothman picked MSU over finalists Auburn, Clemson and Ole Miss. He’s the fourth offensive linemen in MSU’s class. Phil Loadholt was hired as the new offensive line coach in January.

Toothman is the 10th player to commit to MSU since June 20.

Dalton Toothman 247 ranking

Toothman, measured at 6-foot-5, 295 pounds, is a three-star, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He’s ranked No. 585 nationally, No. 50 at offensive tackle and No. 20 in Mississippi.

Jakobe Green 247 ranking

Green, a 6-foot-3, 335-pound interior offensive lineman, is a three-star, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He’s ranked at No. 572 nationally, No. 50 interior offensive lineman and No. 82 in Florida. The Quincy, Florida native took an official visit to Florida State on May 30.
