The Kobe V Protro retailed for $190 and incorporates the colors of her team, the Indiana Fever, including blue, red and gold. They were made available online at 10 a.m. EDT on the Snkrs app, and were reportedly gone in minutes. It has yet to be determined how many pairs Nike made available for the drop or if there would be a follow-up offering of the shoe.

Not long after they were made available, the Protros were already spotted for sale in the resale markets, with pairs being sold on eBay for around $350 and higher.

Nike

Nike Basketball celebrated the release of the sneaker on Monday with a campaign video featuring the WNBA star. “When @caitlinclark22 laces her new Kobe 5 Protro PE she steps into a new dimension,” the caption on X for the video reads. “Noise fades, focus hits, and all that’s left is her drive to dominate. Available 6.30 on SNKRS in select regions.”

The Caitlin Clark x Nike Zoom Kobe 5 Protro “Indiana Fever” featured the WNBA franchise’s signature colors. The majority of the sneaker is navy blue, including the sole and the glossy, synthetic and mesh upper. The swoosh is also navy blue with a thin red, yellow and amber outline around it, matching the bright tongue and heel counter.

Before announcing the sneaker release, Nike responded to Clark’s affinity for the Kobe line by creating several player-exclusive colorways during her rookie season, including a metallic silver and red pair that she wore in May to kick off the 2025 WNBA season. While Clark hasn’t played a WNBA game in the “Indiana Fever” sneakers, she debuted them during warmups for the Fever’s playoff opening game in September.
