Queen Letizia Revives Barbiecore Trend in Pink Shoes at Royal Event

Queen Letizia was seen in a pair of pink pumps by Magrit while attending a meeting of the Board of FAD Youth Foundation at the Foster Tower in Spain on Thursday afternoon. The royal wore a pair of modern slingback pointed-toe pumps that featured a pink leather upper and a mid-sized stiletto heel.

Letizia has previously worn similar styles for several high-profile events over the years, making the silhouette a go-to choice for her public appearances. The standout look, which complemented the rest of her look, was finished with a stiletto heel that measured roughly three inches in height.

As for her ensemble, she chose to wear a pink wrap dress, making a nod to the Barbiecore trend that dominated fashion in 2023. She paired with silver dangle earrings that framed her face elegantly. Keeping her makeup neutral, she styled her long, brunette locks in a side-part style.

The Queen has continued her trend of wearing timeless pointed pumps for special occasions. For example, she was spotted in Spain at a ceremony welcoming the Spanish royals at the Royal Palace of Amsterdam wearing Gianvito Rossi’s signature stiletto pumps. Those shoes featured a red leather composition in the upper and a closed-back design that locked her feet in place. Also featuring a sharp, angular upper, the pumps were finished with a heel that measured just over four inches.

Then there were the beige slingback heels from the Spanish luxury shoe brand Magrit, which she was seen in for the celebration of the 2024-25 academic year of the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, this past June. Attending the gathering alongside her husband, she wore the Carlota, a slingback kitten heel with a pointed toe made of blush-colored napa leather and a tasteful, comfortable heel. Those shoes included a pointed-toe style with a slingback design, and a barely there elastic band on the inside of the foot. The shoes are available in various colors, including nude, black, red and brown and retail for approximately $335.
