In the post-pandemic world, few collaborations have had the lasting impact of Grace Wales Bonner’s ongoing partnership with Adidas. The English fashion designer’s eponymous label helped the sportswear brand’s heritage models stay relevant long after the Samba craze cooled off and now, she’s been rewarded with her very own silhouette. After releasing sequined and suede styles of the Wales Bonner-original Karintha Lo in May, the award-winning designer revealed another version of the model at Paris Fashion Week.
This time, Wales Bonner has given the slim-soled Karintha Lo a luxe handwoven leather upper. Two styles were previewed in black and tan, each with metallic gold eyelets and tongue co-brand in white. An airy open construction fills in the entirety of the handmade upper with a more densely woven tongue. And at the rubber sole, the Karintha Lo’s tread pattern extends up to the sides.

But the collaborative footwear wasn’t limited to the Karintha Lo. The spring 2026 show also introduced a new joint project with Adidas Y-3, the brand’s fashion sub-line with designer Yohji Yamamoto. Along with accessories and apparel including tuxedo trousers, the show featured the return of the Y-3 Field sneaker. The flat-soled shoe was shown in metallic copper and two-tone brown and royal blue looks.
In its showroom, Wales Bonner teased further upcoming Adidas collaborations including the Adizero Adios, Country, Gazelle Indoor and F50 models, although the pairs were not seen on the runway.
Release and pricing details for the upcoming Wales Bonner x Adidas Originals and Wales Bonner x Adidas Y-3 have not yet been confirmed, but the new shoes should begin releasing before the end of the year.
