We will preview every player on the Cardinals roster leading up to training camp. This is about DB Darren Hall.
The Arizona Cardinals report to training camp on July 22 and begin the process of preparing for the regular season, forming the roster and determining starting jobs and roles on the team.
Leading up to the start of camp, we will take a look at every player on the offseason roster, their background, their contract, their play in 2024, questions they face and their roster outlook.
Next up is defensive back Darren Hall.
Darren Hall background, 2024 season
Originally a fourth-round pick by the Atlanta Falcons from San Diego State in 2021, Hall came to the Cardinals as a free agent in the 2025 offseason. He earned a spot on the roster, but was waived on Nov. 4 and claimed by the Indianapolis Colts. After being inactive for five games, Hall was waived on Dec. 21 and returned to the Cardinals on the practice squad on Dec. 24. He signed a futures contract this year on Jan. 6.
Hall played four games with the Cardinals last season and was inactive for five games. He played seven snaps on defense and 36 (36 percent) on special teams where he had one solo tackle.
Darren Hall 2025 contract details, cap hit
Hall signed a veteran minimum contract of $1.1 million with no guaranteed money. His salary-cap charge is also $1.1 million.
2025 questions, roster outlook
Clearly on the roster bubble, Hall still has a chance of making the roster or finding work on the practice squad. His versatility of being capable of playing safety or cornerback helps.
