Indiana Fever superstar guard Caitlin Clark has had an injury-ridden second season in the WNBA, enduring three separate injuries. As of Friday, she has missed 15 regular-season games due to these injuries. She also missed the Commissioner’s Cup title game, the WNBA All-Star Game and the 3-point contest.

Clark missed five games due to a left quad strain at the beginning of the season. After a brief return, she also missed four games with a left groin injury. The most recent injury, a right groin injury, occurred in a game against the Connecticut Sun on July 15 and has sidelined her ever since.

Meanwhile, the Fever, who sit third in the Eastern Conference with a 15-12 record, added an efficient contributor for the rest of the season.

On Friday, Indiana signed Australian forward Chloe Bibby to a rest-of-season contract. Bibby originally signed with the Fever on a 7-day contract, but the team announced she will be with it for the duration of the season, resulting in support from fans.

“This is good news! Great acquisition!” wrote a fan.

“Congrats, Well deserved!” wrote another fan.

“Best decision,” said a fan.

“Excellent decision,” said another.

“Great news! Chloe has a smooth 3 point stroke and is a hustler fits in perfectly and once we get C back watch out league,” one fan said.

“Another great addition! Thank you DB [DeWanna Bonner] for leaving. Now the Fever got a better deal,” said another.

In her two games with the team so far, Bibby is averaging 9 points on 45% shooting from the field and 50% from beyond the arc. With no timetable for Clark’s return, the Fever turn to Bibby as an efficient addition off the bench who can stretch the floor well and contribute strong minutes.

Clark is not expected to play on Friday when the Fever visit Paige Buckers and the Dallas Wings at 7:30 p.m. ET on Ion.
