Vans has announced SZA as its new artistic director. As part of the multi-year partnership, SZA will help to “reimagine upcoming campaigns and co-create exclusive product collections that fuse her unique vision with the brand’s creative and youthful spirit,” said the brand in a press release. “My mission is to show that joy, community, creativity and fashion are all still intersectional,” said SZA in a statement. “[Vans] stands where I stand, and I’m honored to invite a whole bunch of people to stand Off the Wall with us.” {Fashionista inbox}

Valentino CEO steps down

Jacopo Venturini, Valentino’s chief executive officer since June 2020, has stepped down from his role, citing “personal reasons,” according to the Italian fashion house. The brand also shared that a successor “will be announced in due course.” Alessandro Michele’s role as creative director is unaffected by the change and the company shared it is “confirming full trust and commitment” in him ahead of its Spring 2026 Paris Fashion Week show. {WWD}

Vuori announces multi-year partnership with Kirsty Godso

Vuori has announced celebrity trainer and fitness creator Kirsty Godso will join its team as a partner. In the role, Godso will collaborate with the brand on marketing campaigns, innovation and development of apparel and accessories and the overall evolution of the activewear line. “Vuori’s thoughtful approach to performance and lifestyle resonates with me on every level,” said Godso in a statement. “This is about creating apparel that not only performs but also inspires you to move – and makes you feel incredible while doing it.” {Fashionista inbox}

E.l.f. Cosmetics addresses its controversial Matt Rife campaign

In a new interview with Business of Fashion, E.l.f. Cosmetics’ Global Chief Marketing Officer, Kory Marchisotto, responds to the backlash the brand received after including controversial comedian Matt Rife in its latest ad campaign. “There is a big gap between our intention and how this missed the mark for some people,” she says. “We always aim to deliver positivity, and this one didn’t. CFDA and Paul Smith Foundation team up for designer-in-residence opportunity

Sir Paul Smith and the CFDA have teamed up to create the Paul Smith’s Foundation x CFDA Designer-in-Residence program — an application-based award that will afford one American designer the opportunity to work alongside six UK-based designers in London. The winner will also receive a complimentary 400 square-foot studio space for 12 months, mentorship from industry leaders, business-planning training, visa, flights and “a significant contribution to their living,” according to a press release. eBay to hold pre-loved runway shows during New York and London Fashion Week

Online retailer eBay is set to return to the New York and London Fashion Week schedules for the second iteration of its Endless Runway initiative. Erdem, Luar, Altuzarra, Kallmeyer and Ahluwalia will participate in the program by incorporating archival pieces from previous collections into their Spring 2026 shows. {eBay}

Birkenstock beat its profit expectations in Q3

Even after raising its prices in response to the ongoing U.S. tariffs, Birkenstock reported that it beat its Q3 profit expectations, with sales in America growing by 16% and its shares jumping 5% in pre-market trading. The shoe brand’s gross profit margin increased to 60.5%, up 100 basis points from the same time last year. {Birkenstock}
