John Cena‘s wife Shay Shariatzadeh gave her look a sharp, color-blocked lift at HBO’s “Peacemaker” season two premiere in New York on Wednesday, stepping into a pair of cobalt Roberto Cavalli mules with a pointed toe and high spool heel. Cut with the silhouette of a pump but left open at the back, the style’s curved heel and mirror-bright upper brought a sculptural finish to her red double-breasted blazer dress.

The mules’ high-shine surface caught light from every angle, making their saturated blue tone read almost animated — a detail that aligned neatly with the night’s comic-book source material.
Shariatzadeh’s husband, John Cena, leaned fully into character as Peacemaker in a red, blue and cream uniform with padded navy boots. Their side-by-side effect played up the premiere’s costumed energy — hers sleek and stylized, his more of a literal interpretation.

She’s not alone in the shift toward shoes with comic-panel clarity, either. Rebecca Romijn’s split-strap Ferragamos at San Diego Comic-Con echoed the shape-shifting lines of her Mystique costume, while Vanessa Kirby leaned into saturated blue stilettos across the “Fantastic Four” press tour. Julia Garner’s metallic Jimmy Choos, worn earlier this summer, took the same approach in silver, drawing a direct line to her Silver Surfer role.

Roberto Cavalli
For Shariatzadeh, the Cavalli mules follow another bold-footwear moment from just six weeks earlier, when she paired a bow-front black-and-white minidress with Alaïa’s transparent-panel Le Cœur mules at the London premiere of “Heads of State.”
Together, the two looks signal a growing preference for shoes that combine strong silhouettes with a visual hook — whether through transparency, extreme shape or saturated color. The premiere’s cobalt Cavallis also slot neatly into Cavalli’s current revival streak, where high-impact color and sculptural shaping are emerging as as much of a signature as the house’s famed prints.
