The Adidas Campus 00s had its moment in the sun with TikTok kick-starting the trend in 2023, and the hit shoe that is itself a remix of a classic is about to undergo another transformation.
The Adidas Campus 00s has been given two new builds with a strong resemblance to two of Ugg‘s top models. With monochrome suede uppers and a new platform sole maintaining color uniformity, the sneaker has been re-rendered as both a mid-top and a slip-on. The former alteration looks a lot like Ugg‘s lower-cut Classic Mini boot, while the latter suggests the brand’s Tasman slippers.
Both new iterations of the Campus 00s will be available next month in three colorways: black, brown and tan. Most crucial to the Ugg comparisons, the two builds also feature fuzzy interiors.
Adidas first introduced the Campus 00s in 2022 as a chunkier version of the ’70s’ sneaker modeled after the pillowing skate shoes from the 2000s. The original Campus was initially known as the Tournament in its run as a basketball shoe in the ’70s, later to be renamed as the Campus and reframed as a lifestyle sneaker.
Ugg, of course, has been on the upswing for the last several years, also benefiting from the trendiness of 2000s staples as the fuzzy boots were wildly popular two decades ago. For the first quarter of fiscal 2026, Ugg net sales are up 18.9 percent compared to the same time period last year.
The Adidas Campus 00s boot and slipper don’t yet have a firm release date, but are expected to release sometime in September through Adidas’ website. Pricing for both the mid-top and slip-on has also yet to be confirmed.
