Real Madrid got it done again with a 2-1 win against Mallorca at home in the Santiago Bernabeu.

It makes it three wins in a row to start off the season and the ideal start for new manager Xabi Alonso.

They haven't all been pretty wins, but it's on the right track and we will talk about the three key takeaways from the game.

Give Mastantuono Time

When Real Madrid signed Argentinian prodigy, Franco Mastantuono, there was a lot of excitement about the talent as he was even mentioned as Madrid's answer to Lamine Yamal.

The winger/10 is very talented but a lot of the excitement and expectation needs to be tempered as he clearly is still raw.

He needs to be given time to develop and allowed to go through the growing pains without the pressure of expectations. He's shown plenty of flashes to believe in him but a lot of his game is still raw.

Vini May Be Gaining Form

After another bad performance to start the season against Osasuna, Vini was benched by manager Xabi Alonso in a bold move.

Based on his performances though, this benching was deserved and many wondered how Vini would react to getting benched.

Well, he came off the bench against Real Oviedo and got a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win. Today, he scored a beautiful goal where he chops it back on his left and through the defenders legs. He also looked good outside of the goal with decent pressing and seeming more confident in his actions.

Madrid fans will be hoping that this is a sign of things to come and the start of getting back the old Vini.

Not Used To System Yet

This is a pretty normal takeaway to have from a side that has a new manager and new players but it was increasingly evident today.

Madrid looked good in spurts of the game and looked deadly every time they went on the attack.

On the other hand, there were plenty of times where they looked tired and vulnerable where Mallorca just didn't have enough forward talent to exploit it.

Perhaps the players aren't used to the pressing required under Alonso but this should be something that's just part of the process.
