Wes Gordon Takes Carolina Herrera’s Spring 2026 Collection to Madrid’s Iconic Plaza Mayor

Earlier this year, Wes Gordon announced that he would be taking the Carolina Herrera spring 2026 collection on a little European vacation to Madrid. Today, he has revealed that the show will be happening in the Plaza Mayor, one of Spain’s most iconic landmarks, dating back to the 16th century.

“We’re very excited about it—I think it’s my favorite collection that I’ve done,” Gordon said on a recent phone call. “Plaza Mayor is truly the epicenter of Madrid—both geographically and culturally—I get goosebumps at the prospect of showing there because it’s so magical.” It is the third international show for the New York–based label, which has previously staged pre-collection shows in equally iconic locations across Latin America—on a hill overlooking the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, and at Mexico City’s famed Museo Anahuacalli, designed by Diego Rivera.

As is Gordon’s custom, the spring 2026 collection will also feature collaborations with Spanish artisans and creatives. It will close out with a big party celebrating the release of La Bomba, the brand’s latest fragrance. “I’ve been really very lucky to have had the opportunity to get to know Madrid very well; I’ve been there many times for work and pleasure, and I really am in love with it,” he noted.

There is also a bit of a homecoming feeling for the brand, whose parent company Puig is based in Spain (although its headquarters are in Barcelona). “In many ways, these destination shows are like family reunions for us at Herrera because it’s an opportunity to bring together all the different parts of the business—whether it’s fragrance, or beauty, or accessories, or eyewear, or fashion—into one kind of event,” he said. “It’s going to be very romantic, very magical, very Madrid.”
