The second week of the NFL’s 2025 regular season has arrived, and it will see the New England Patriots travel to Miami to take on the Dolphins in a matchup of 0-1 teams. Yes, strength of schedule would call for the Saints in this one, but there is one real-life and one sentimental reason to root for San Francisco: the Patriots are the owners of New Orleans’ seventh-round draft pick in 2026, while this game will also mark the likely debut of new Niners QB Mac Jones and new Niners WR Kendrick Bourne. | FOX

Buffalo Bills at New York Jets: Go Jets! This one is purely for the sake of a close division race. | CBS

Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers: Go Seahawks! Yes, the strength of schedule will take a hit, but NFC over AFC any day. | FOX

Philadelphia Eagles at Kansas City Chiefs: Go Eagles! The Patriots own to selections in the 2026 draft originally belonging to the Chiefs. Kansas City dropping to 0-2 would likely still not seriously hurt the team’s playoff outlook, but in the highly unlikely case the team ends up not qualifying for the tournament every loss matters. Better to be safe than sorry. | FOX

Atlanta Falcons at Minnesota Vikings: Go Falcons! Strength of schedule commands us to root for Atlanta in this one. | NBC

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Houston Texans: Go Bucs! An AFC versus NFC game with no direct impact on New England? Clear choice. Sorry, Nick Caserio. | ABC/ESPN
