Jae Tips‘ newest collection of Saucony sneakers will also be his largest.
The Jae Tips x Saucony ProGrid Triumph 4 “Flowers Grow Uptown” collection is bringing four different colorways to the retro running. Keeping with the theme of flora, they’re all named after plants: “Posion Ivy,” “Virginia Creeper,” “Perilla” and “Sugar Maple.”
“Poison Ivy” and “Virginia Creeper” are both the brightest and feature the biggest range of colors, with the former clad primarily in red with accents in baby blue, yellow, green and mauve. The latter makes heavy use of pink with its own accents in mustard, green, red and blue. The “Perilla” and “Sugar Maple” variants are more uniformly purple and green, respectively, although they do carry some contrasting elements as well.
All four of the sneakers are united by a multicolor leaf logo on the tongue, “Uptown” text bubble on the lateral heel, “Made By Jae Tips” embroidery on the lining, and the Savior Worldwide flower logo appearing beneath Saucony’s own on the quarter.
This assortment of sneakers marks Jae Tips’ sixth Saucony collection and his first time taking on the ProGrid Triumph 4, a running shoe originating from 2007. It’s also his first time working on any sneaker from the Triumph line, which is now on its 22nd iteration, although he’s no stranger to Grid and ProGrid tech.
The public got a chance to get an early look at the quartet of shoes at Jae Tips’ StockX pop-up in August, which celebrated the sixth anniversary of his brand and featured a retrospective of his work.
The Jae Tips x Saucony ProGrid Triumph 4 “Flowers Grow Uptown” doesn’t yet have a firm release date, but the designer has promised a launch date to come soon. Footwear News will keep you abreast of any updates.
