A cozy Los Angeles gathering marked the launch with cocktails in Cleo Wade’s garden, a candlelit dinner, and a nightcap by the fire.

On Monday evening, Kirsten Dunst and Jessica Herschko of Observed By Us joined La Ligne founders Molly Howard, Valerie Macaulay, and Meredith Melling to host an intimate dinner at writer and artist Cleo Wade’s Los Angeles home, celebrating their new loungewear capsule.

Guests arrived at cocktails in Wade’s garden before moving indoors to a fall-beckoning tablescape dressed with vibrant florals in deep reds and greens. Embroidered napkins featuring hand-drawn motifs added a whimsical touch, echoing the spirit of the two brands’ joint offering.

The collection—a limited-edition lineup of day-to-sleepwear styles and accessories—blends La Ligne’s signature silhouettes with the imaginative world of Observed By Us. Bonne Nuit pajamas appear alongside embroidered cashmere masks and other cozy pieces, with the capsule’s comfort and ease thoughtfully reflected in the evening’s tone.

At the table, Dunst and Herschko sat with the La Ligne founders, joined by Dakota Fanning, Alessandra Garcia, Mamie Gummer, Zooey Deschanel, Morgan Stewart, Shiona Turini, Lisa Eisner, Harley Viera-Newton, Jeanann Williams, and others. Conversation flowed giddily as candles burned low—it felt more like catching up with old friends than a formal celebration.

Dinner—a breakfast-inspired menu of berry-topped waffles, breakfast home fries, and fried chicken with seared shrimp—gave way to a fireside nightcap in Wade’s living room, the crackling hearth lending a personal glow. During dessert, a particularly charming moment saw Molly Howard acquire the earrings Lisa Eisner had worn for the evening, slipping them on then and there.
