1982: Isabella Arrives

In 1982, Hollywood starlet Isabella Rossellini joins Lancôme as the brand’s first celebrity ambassador, a partnership that would endure for 14 years before rekindling again in 2015. Here, she and former L’Oréal chief Lindsay Owen-Jones fête the partnership with a party at Club A in New York City in January 1983.
2000: A Star Is Born

The brand debuts its Juicy Tubes Original Lip Gloss, which becomes a defining “cool girl” gloss of the 2000s. Twenty-five years later, their appeal endures.
2008: Not That Kind of Vibrator

Vibrating mascara? Indeed. In 2008, Lancôme debuted its Oscillation mascara, which involved a vibrating wand said to hit 7,000 oscillations per minute in an aim to comprehensively wrap lashes without any clumps.
2019: 11th Hour

2021: The Lupita Factor

At the 2021 Met Gala, Lancôme ambassador Lupita Nyong’o donned a striking cat-eye composed of blue-hued shadows, plus black eyeliner and a subtle, brick-red lip. The Academy Award-winning actress was tapped by the brand in 2014, not only fronting products but also working with the brand’s Writer Her Future program to award $400,000 in scholarships to Black college students.
2023: Lancôme, Meet Louvre

Talk about a meeting of the minds: The French beauty brand joins forces with none other than the Louvre Museum for a limited-edition collection including an eye shadow palette, four lipsticks and Génifique, each design inspired by sculptures on display at the museum like the iconic Venus de Milo.
2023: Emma Goes Glittery

2025: A Juicy Comeback
With the popularity of lip balms at an all-time high, Lancôme brought back the OG. It brought back its Juicy Tube glosses with a Juicy Tube Kissing Web campaign starring fellow 2000s icons including Ed Westwick, Kelly Rowland, Paris Hilton, Christina Milian and more, attracting a whole new generation to one of its most storied franchises.
2025: Isabella Red

Gen Z “It” girl Olivia Rodrigo served up sultry drama wearing a full face of Lancôme at the 2025 Grammy Awards. For the look, makeup artist Melissa Hernandez designed a subtle winged eye look, a pinky-brown lip combo and luminous skin. Named a global ambassador in 2024, global brand president Francoise Lehmann said, “We want Olivia to be Olivia.…What Olivia can bring is to push us into a new chapter, to push the boundaries together and go for it.”
