Wesley Fofana gives his verdict on Garnacho and reveals how the Argentine has settled in

Wesley Fofana has revealed how Alejandro Garnacho has settled in at Chelsea following his arrival from Manchester United this summer.

Chelsea signed Garnacho in a deal worth £40m, and the Argentine was one of five attacking signings the Blues made.

The 21-year-old insisted he only wanted to join Chelsea despite receiving offers from other clubs including German giants Bayern Munich.

Garnacho has reportedly settled into life well at Chelsea, and Fofana has shared his thoughts on his new team-mate.

“Everyone is happy because he’s a top player.

“He helped the team for sure. And yeah, the group is very good. We are all friends. We are close to the same age, and he’s good, and we’re happy he’s here.”

Fofana has been plagued by injury issues at Chelsea, but he’s got himself back fit and has started both of Chelsea’s last two games.

However, the Frenchman is ruled out until after the international break after suffering a concussion against Lincoln.

Fofana must now follow the protocol, which means he will miss games against Brighton, Benfica and Liverpool, before returning after the international break against Nottingham Forest.

Maresca is likely to field Josh Acheampong and Trevoh Chalobah against the Seagulls, with Tosin Adarabioyo also absent with a calf injury.
