Origin Story: Disillusioned with the structured, traditional wedding “uniform” that dominated the market, founder Megan Ziems set out to change the bridal industry. She believed that quality shouldn’t be dictated by a price tag, and that a woman shouldn’t be forced to sacrifice style for comfort. She thought that the brides of today deserved better than average. And so, Grace Loves Lace was born in 2011. Since then, its team has created a whole new perspective on bridal dressing, designing gowns that allow women to feel confident and empowered. The brand’s handmade gowns are all about effortless luxury, quality, and style — gowns that have soul, originality, and authenticity. 

The Grace Loves Lace Head Office and production facility is based in Burleigh Heads, Australia, a creative hub south of the Gold Coast on the Queensland border. Starting as a bridal e-commerce-only brand (revolutionary at the time), it’s since grown its retail footprint globally and now ship gowns to over 80 countries worldwide.

The Gold Coast-based design team is where every Grace gown begins. From initial sketches to fabric development, everything is done in-house by artisans, ensuring each piece is truly unique and reflects the signature brand handwriting. Some production is done offshore. The brand upholds high standards of ethical production and local craftsmanship; while it is not formally certified organic or sustainable, it continuously strive to make conscious choices through its use of stock fabrics, waste reduction and local employment practices.
