Lady Gaga Lands in Milan Wearing Avant Garde Curved Heels

Lady Gaga arrived at Milan’s airport on Saturday in a shoe that’s quickly becoming one of the most recognizable silhouettes of the season. Her convex Christian Louboutin platforms, engineered in collaboration with Matières Fécales, extend a runway experiment that has been inching its way into celebrity wardrobes since March.

The pale pink satin heels balanced on a sharply curved base with a steep stiletto at the back, a structure that shifts the foot forward at an acute angle. Mesh paneling at the vamp and triple ankle straps soften the severity of the shape without hiding its architecture. Louboutin first developed the design for Matières Fécales’ fall 2025 debut in Paris — a show that introduced the label’s warped, sci-fi form language to the runway.

Gaga wore the platforms with a matching pink knit skirt set from Matières Fécales’ spring 2026 collection. The form-fitting knit set matched the pale pink of the platforms. She finished the look with black sunglasses and a compact shoulder bag.

The convex platform has already gained traction among a small group of performers drawn to its height and tension. FKA Twigs wore a black boot version at Pandora’s Talisman launch in September, bringing the exaggerated form from the runway to the stage. The original Paris show also drew Louboutin himself, solidifying the partnership as more than a one-off experiment.

The moment also comes as the Louboutin house leans deeper into theatrical presentation. Its Paris Fashion Week show earlier this month staged new silhouettes on an American football field, signaling a broader push toward extreme structure and spectacle across the brand’s collections. The event was also the first major outing since Jaden Smith was named the house’s inaugural men’s creative director.

For Gaga, the Milan appearance is a natural extension of her own shoe history. Her “Mayhem Ball” tour earlier this year featured customized ballet slippers and platform boots, continuing a pattern of treating footwear as part of the spectacle rather than an accessory.
