Beauty trends come and go, but who knew 2016-era Kylie Jenner was what we wanted all along?
Last night (October 17), Kylie Jenner hosted a party in Los Angeles to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Kylie Cosmetics, also opening a pop-up featuring her new collection of throwback products (yes, the hallowed lip kit included). The venue was swathed in bright pinks and images of Kylie in her infamous King Kylie era, with a multitude of colorful wigs and dip-dyed ends, Snapchat face filters, and matte lips.
Stepping out among friends and family, Jenner leaned into the nostalgic aesthetic by donning a bubblegum pink wig to match her pink latex dress. The wig sat in a shape more befitting to the Kylie Jenner we know today though, styled in a big, bombshell blowout that swept over her face and fell to her chest in waves.
The rest of her glam followed suit—sharp and dark eyebrows, a popping pink blush swept long across her cheeks and up to her browline, a cat eye flick with smoked out eyes, and a brown lined lip finished with a rosy pink. Nails were also a pink bubblegum shade.

Jenner has been reveling in the King Kylie era and 2010s revival—a period in time where glam was heavy on pigment and contouring. Everybody baked their makeup and lashes were gargantuan. The bigger the lips and the stronger the cheek sculpt, the better.
Earlier this week, Jenner stepped out with fellow beauty mogul Hailey Bieber, showing off her jet black hair with the ends dyed teal, another classic young Kylie look that she first debuted at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards. She wore her hair similarly in the music video for her debut feature, “Fourth Strike,” which recalls the first promo she did for Kylie Cosmetics. (And, once again, was heavy on the lip kit promo—ah, sweet nostalgia).
Whisper it three times and a new wig will appear: “King Kylie.”
