Kendrick Lamar’s cultural influence can’t be overstated — and it extends far beyond the Grammy Awards. The rapper single-handedly catapulted Celine’s flared jeans, which he donned for his Super Bowl halftime show performance in February, to the number-one spot on Lyst’s Index of the “hottest products” for Q1 of 2025.
Celine’s Marco Jeans dominated searches during the time period from January to March, according to Lyst. The $1,200 item sold out instantly and drove a 412% search increase for “flared jeans.” The Adidas Taekwondo sneaker comes in second, while the Dua Lipa-approved Puma Speedcat Ballet swooped in to claim the third spot. Other items Lyst named on its hottest product list include the Saint Laurent Gaby Vanity Bag, Miu Miu Suede Pouch, Cos Barrel Leg Trousers and Alo Yoga Accolade Hoodie.
That said, the quarterly ranking showed that product hotness does not necessarily equate to brand hotness. Where Celine dominated the product list, Loewe came out on top as Q1’s most-wanted brand. (The last time it triumphed was in Q2 of last year.) Its soaring popularity follows Jonathan Anderson’s departure as creative director. Since his resignation, Loewe saw a 38% search increase as shoppers quickly invested in pieces from Anderson’s final collection under the label.
Last year’s champion, Miu Miu, dropped to second place, followed by Saint Laurent, Coach and Prada. In a surprising move, Cos entered the top 10 for the first time (thus becoming the first mass fashion label to do so), sitting at number six. Lyst attributes this to the growing demand for affordable brands due to luxury fatigue, tariff-driven price hikes and economic uncertainty. Another top-10 first timer? Chloé, which experienced a major comeback under the creative vision of Chemena Kamali.
The Lyst Index also highlighted brands that are “moving fast” — ones that didn’t make the top 20 list, but are quickly climbing the ranks. These include Dries Van Noten, Levi’s (no doubt in part due to Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter”) and Duran Lantink, an emerging Dutch designer who was recently appointed creative director of Jean Paul Gaultier.
