Giants beef up offensive line in way-too-early 2026 mock draft

The 2025 NFL draft is still very fresh in everyone’s mind but the NFL is a never-ending enterprise. It’s not improper to start thinking about next year’s draft. In fact, some outlets are already producing mock drafts.

Pro Football Network put out their latest mock draft last week and precited the New York Giants would be drafting high in the order again next April — No. 5 overall, as a matter of fact.

The mock is a three-rounder but the Giants do not have a third round pick as it was dealt away as part the draft day trade to obtain quarterback Jaxson Dart.

With their first pick, they address the offensive line.

Round 1, Pick 5: Spencer Fano, OT Utah

The Giants hope that 2025 first-round pick Jaxson Dart is the team’s answer at quarterback. To ensure that Dart is as good as he can be, the team would be wise to draft an offensive tackle high to protect him.

Fano is a young but immensely talented offensive tackle. He has excellent size and incredible power at the point of attack. He would be a great addition to this offensive line.

In Round 2, the Giants once again address their tight end room.

Round 2, Pick 37: Max Clare, TE Ohio State

Klare (6’4″, 240) played three seasons at Purdue before moving on to Ohio State via the transfer portal this year. He was a third-team All-Big Ten selection last season for the Boilermakers.

Offensive lineman are always welcome. Not sure how much room they’ll be on the roster at tight end next year, though.

The Giants will likely need another offensive tackle next season regardless of record, but drafting another tight end would indicate they failed with Daniel Bellinger, Theo Johnson, and Thomas Fidone II.
