Vanderbilt junior Devin McGlockton to withdraw from draft

Vanderbilt junior Devin McGlockton will reportedly withdraw from the 2025 NBA draft and return to school for next season, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

McGlockton averaged 10.3 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.1 blocks and one assist on 33.8% shooting from 3-point range in 33 games this past season. He ranked 10th in the country in offensive rating (132.7) and third in the SEC in total offensive rebounds (103).

The 6-foot-7 guard finished in double figures 19 times, including a season-high 24 points, 13 rebounds and two blocked shots on Nov. 4 in a win over Maryland Eastern Shore. He set a program record by going a perfect 10-of-10 from the field in that performance.

McGlockton was among the 106 players who filed as early entry candidates for the draft last month. He had the opportunity to test the process and gain feedback on his draft stock before removing his name from consideration ahead of the withdrawal deadline on May 28.

With McGlockton back, the team retains a starter who helped it advance to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2017. The group will look to duplicate its success while adding transfers Duke Miles (Oklahoma), Frankie Collins (TCU) and Jalen Washington (North Carolina).

McGlockton should have the chance to improve upon his productive junior year in Nashville. He will return in hopes of leading the Commodores and raising his draft stock.
