Moët & Chandon is presenting the limited-edition collectors Legacy Case in collaboration with Roger Federer and Rimowa as Benoît Gouez celebrates 20 years as cellar master of Moët & Chandon.
A testament to career and craftsmanship, friendship and the passage of time, the Legacy Case is a special-edition aluminum Rimowa case and includes seven grand vintage collection Champagnes from 1998 to 2009, as well as the Collection Impériale Création No. 1.

Gouez said that as cellar master he is “both a guardian and a guide,” as he stewards the tradition and storytelling through Champagne. With the debut of the Legacy Case, Gouez took the opportunity to echo longtime friend of the house Roger Federer’s milestones in the “spirit of life is better when shared.” In an official statement from the brand, Moët & Chandon said that the offering is “a taste of exceptional moments captured in time” with the case underlining “how isolated successes come together to tell a story, one that is always better when shared.”
Federer and Gouez found friendship through Moët & Chandon as like-minded “perfection-seekers,” further bonding when Federer became a global brand ambassador and friend of the house in 2012. Over 13 years, Gouez has continued to celebrate Federer’s achievements.
“Having followed Roger’s career from both close and afar, I am honored to assemble this homage to a friend and tennis legend. It is especially meaningful to me on my 20th anniversary as cellar master as each Champagne represents years of dedication,” Gouez said on the intention of the Legacy Case. “Champagne is crafted in the long term. Sometimes we implement things which will go beyond us in time — that is the true meaning of legacy.”

In celebration of the Legacy Case, Moët & Chandon collaborated with Rimowa, which also has had a long-standing relationship with Federer. The Legacy Case created by the two houses for Federer is one of just three exclusive pieces that will ever be produced. The case itself is a custom-designed design of the Rimowa Twelve Bottle case that blends the aesthetics of both brands. The interior is designed to fit one magnum and seven Champagne bottles.
“I am honored to see the moments of my life and career woven together through this collaboration,” Federer said. “Moët & Chandon and Benoît have always brought a spirit of celebration and care to my journey, and this Legacy Case is a special way to reflect on my career and the memories we’ve created together.”
The three unique Legacy cases will be available through LVMH Private Sales for 80,000 euros. All proceeds will be donated to the Roger Federer Foundation.
