Ashley Park Embraces Sheer Trend From Head to Toe for Dior Cruise 2026

The sheer trend is still going strong, as evidenced by Ashley Park’s latest look. The “Emily in Paris” star stepped out in a head-to-toe see-through look at Dior‘s cruise 2026 show on Tuesday. Park wore Dior’s mesh and canvas platform ankle-strap sandals, featuring a transparent net-like embroidered vamp. She paired the sheer shoes with a see-through embroidered tulle dress that grazed her shoulders.

Park completed the look with an embellished white take on Dior’s mini Lady bag.

Park’s footwear choice is another entry in a long list of celebrities embracing the sheer shoe trend, which began heavily populating the runway in 2023 as spring 2024 collections from Aquazzura, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Givenchy and more put forth takes on transparent sandals and heels.

The “Joy Ride” actress wasn’t the only celebrity to embrace the sheer trend at the Dior cruise 2026 presentation. Rosamund Pike also stepped out in sheer shoes, opting for lace Victorian-nodding boots — Dior’s Naughtily-D heeled ankle boot — which she paired with a similarly transparent, delicate lace top and skirt.

The Dior cruise 2026 show also brought out Natalie Portman, Alexandra Daddario, Deva Cassel and Camille Cottin, among others.

Transparent fashion was also plentiful on the runway, where Dior creative head Maria Grazia Chiuri took inspiration from Rome’s love of the silver screen, commissioning costume house Tirelli to reproduce some of its most iconic creations seen in films from Luchino Visconti’s “The Leopard” to Martin Scorsese’s “The Age of Innocence.”

“We wanted not only to experiment, but also with this lightness, to show that the construction behind a film costume is very close to haute couture,” Chiuri told WWD.
