Giants’ Kayvon Thibodeaux hilariously trolls Eagles fans

New York Giants linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux is no fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. That’s something he made abundantly clear during Super Bowl media week in early February.

“I hate the Eagles, man,” he told the New York Post at the time.

Although he hates the Eagles, Thibodeaux has been able to give them their flowers…reluctantly. But the team’s fans? Not so much.

Philly fans are notoriously known for their hostility towards opposing players and fans of opposing teams, often taking things too far and sometimes becoming violent. They’ve even pelted Santa Claus with snowballs.

That’s something Thibodeaux kept in mind during a recent appearance on Kevin Hart’s Cold As Balls.

“Is it true that Eagles fans are actually not smart? No (expletive),” Thibodeaux said. “I know you’re one of them, so I get it. Like, 2.2 (GPA). I get it. There are statistics that you guys are literally (expletive) idiots.”

Thibodeaux’s comments were clearly tongue-in-cheek, but that didn’t stop them from causing a stir on social media. Giants fans found the exchange with Hart hilarious, while Eagles fans took the joke personally.

“Why is Kevin Hart even doing sit-downs with a nobody of a player like him?” one Eagles fan griped.

“Are there any statistics that show that Kayvon Thibodeaux isn’t an overrated crybaby?” another said.

The obviously sarcastic banter on a comedy show apparently went over their heads.

Thibodeaux and the Giants will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6 at MetLife Stadium. It will be interesting to see if these comments resurface around that time.
