In celebration of Pride month, Willy Chavarria and the Human Rights Campaign will debut a new sweatshirt design during Paris Men’s Fashion Week that reads “How We Love Is Who We Are.” Following the designer’s show on June 27, Tinder is set to release a limited-edition Pride merchandise collection, also designed by Chavarria. {Fashionista inbox}

PVH cuts profit outlook for 2025

In its 2025 Q1 revenue report, PVH cut its profit per share outlook from its previous forecast of $12.40 to $12.75, to $10.75 to $11, citing “estimated net negative impact related to the tariffs currently in place for goods coming into the U.S.” Stefan Larsson, CEO of PVH, said in a press release, “While we are making important progress in our PVH+ Plan execution, we are navigating an increasingly uncertain consumer and macroeconomic backdrop — and given where we are on our brand-building journey, we’re not yet fully able to offset that impact.” {PVH}

Farm Rio is raising its prices and slowing exports to the United States

Alexandre Birman, CEO of Azzas 2154 S.A., the Brazilian apparel company that owns Farm Rio, told Bloomberg of plans to raise prices and slow U.S. exports in response to the tariffs. Despite these challenges, Birman said he also sees opportunity for local growth: “If tariffs on Chinese goods rise above 50%, we become competitive. In that case, we’d need to accelerate investments to expand local output, as China’s production quality has improved significantly in recent years.” {Bloomberg}

This year, Pride went beige

As “progressive” causes continue to be threatened by U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration and right-wing activists, companies are foregoing the typical rainbow aesthetics of previous Pride marketing efforts and opting either for more subtle design choices or not participating in Pride altogether. {Business of Fashion}

L’Oréal reportedly buying Medik8

L’Oréal is looking to finalize a reported $1.1 billion deal to acquire British skin-care brand Medik8, according to the Financial Times. L’Oréal’s dermatological beauty category (which currently includes brands like La Roche Posay and Skinceuticals) makes up around 18% of the company’s sales. {Financial Times}

Jane Larkworthy, well-known beauty editor, passes away

Beauty editor Jane Larkworthy has passed away at the age of 62 after a long battle with cancer, as confirmed by her family. Larkworthy worked with brands like The Cut, Air Mail Look and led W Magazine‘s beauty coverage from 2000 to 2016. {WWD}
