The actor and juror of the filmmaker program wore black Chanel mary jane pumps featuring a rounded toe and a thin strap across the instep. The minimalist upper gave way to a statement heel composed of stacked faux pearls bordered by polished gold-tone discs — a recurring motif in the house’s recent footwear. Modest in height, the shoes delivered visual impact while staying grounded in Chanel’s legacy of feminine tailoring and unexpected materials.

She paired the heels with a look from Chanel’s spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection: a long-sleeve, body-skimming midi dress in a textured white knit with horizontal black stripes. Liu served as a juror for this year’s pitch forum alongside Olivia Wilde, Beanie Feldstein and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
