Julia Fox Turns Heads With Hair Transformations for ‘The Trainer Promo’

Julia Fox chameleoned in and out of multiple personas for her press appearances during the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. The 35-year-old stepped out for the annual affair to celebrate the North American premiere of “The Trainer,” directed by Tony Kaye, in which she plays the part of Bee Luciani alongside Paris Hilton, Lenny Kravitz and Bella Thorne. In just 48 hours, Fox switched her hair color three times.

At “The Trainer” premiere on Saturday, she was photographed with inky-black hair pinned under a white head wrap and parted in the middle. The bespoke style was teamed with a matching, semi-sheer, open-back gown from Zoë Gustavia Anna Whalen’s fall 2025 collection and Femme LA mesh shoes. An icy sunset was cast over her eyelids in the form of baby blue and mauve eye shadow. Her lips were coated in a nude lipstick and shimmery gloss. That same day, the “Uncut Gems” actress posed in a portrait for “The Trainer,” this time with a flipped bob slicked behind her ears under a veil.

On Monday, Fox was spotted heading to “CBS Mornings” to promote her new film with long, dark brown tresses straightened and brushed down to her midsection. The hair seemed to complement the hues in her fashion, which consisted of a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier cinema-inspired dress covered in a collage of film stills, brown leather boots, and a matching bowling bag. The hues in her makeup were like a kaleidoscope of earth tones, combining dusty grays and faded pinks.

Later Monday night, the internet star attended the premiere of “Fior Di Latte” at Village East Cinema in a hairstyle that called to mind a major red carpet trend at the moment. Fox reverted to her pitch-black hair color, adding front waves around her face and spiraling a piece of hair on her forehead. Partnered with sky-high platforms and a gloomy smoky eye, the avant-garde look added edge next to her Reparto’s Engagement babydoll dress and hot pink lip.

The tiny twirl embellishment in Fox’s hair, specifically, was a through line in the many hairstyles at the 2025 Met Gala in May. Fox skipped the Met Gala red carpet, however, she did show up to A$AP Rocky’s after party with Ray Ban sporting a wet, slicked-back pixie cut later in the night.

Fox often works with hair artist John Novotny, but it’s not confirmed he helped design her Tribeca Festival looks. The two did, however, collaborate a few months ago to create the hair aesthetic for Fox’s Heaven Y/Project capsule campaign shoot, which saw her in black extensions akin to Morticia Addams’ emblem style.
