The Florida Panthers have firmly established themselves as the latest dynasty in the National Hockey League. In the extensive history of the NHL, multiple teams have won consecutive Stanley Cup Finals, making multiyear appearances in the Stanley Cup Finals.

On Tuesday night, the Panthers won back-to-back Stanley Cups following a blowout 5-1 victory in Game 6 over the Edmonton Oilers. With the win, the Panthers became the first team since the Tampa Bay Lightning won consecutive Stanley Cups since 2020 and 2021.

While the Panthers had many contributors on their way to this year’s Stanley Cup, center Aleksander Barkov, was an integral part of their success.

One of Barkov’s main responsibilities in the Stanley Cup Finals, was to take the ice across from the NHL’s premier offensive talent, Connor McDavid. McDavid was still a contributor for the Oilers, racking up seven total points in six Stanley Cup Finals games against the Panthers, but Barkov played a key part in keeping McDavid from dominating the series.

Barkov, 29, was rewarded for his efforts with time with the Stanley Cup. Barkov took to the streets, literally, of his neighborhood. One of Barkov’s neighbors’ ring cameras captured Barkov ringing their doorbell at approximately 5:04 a.m. EDT on Tuesday to show them the Stanley Cup.

Barkov, still dressed in a full suit, can be seen trying his neighbors’ doorbell and adds a few knocks at the door before someone answers. The only thing that can be heard from the neighbors side of the interaction is, “He’ll be right out.”

On top of winning the Stanley Cup, Barkov won multiple awards this season. He was named the league’s top defensive forward, winning the Frank J. Selke Award. He also won the King Clancy Memorial Trophy, an award given for leadership and humanitarian contribution.
