Commanders’ rookie ratings for Madden NFL 26 revealed

It’s that time of year—you know, the time when we await training camp and Madden ratings for every NFL player. The early beta team ratings for Madden NFL 26 completely disrespected the Washington Commanders, giving them a 78 rating. Only two NFL teams earned a lower rating. It’s worth noting that ratings will change, and Washington will surely be rated much higher.

While the ratings for all players have yet to be revealed, the ratings for most rookies were revealed on Monday. Which member of the Washington Commanders’ five-man draft class was the highest-rated?

Courtesy of X user MUTLeaks, here are the Madden ratings for Washington’s rookie class:

It’s no surprise that Washington’s first-round pick is the highest-rated rookie. Conerly played left tackle at Oregon, but is slated to play right tackle for the Commanders in 2025.

Washington’s second-round pick is right behind Conerly. Many analysts and the Commanders projected Amos to go in the first round. Amos will likely start for Washington at some point in 2025, perhaps in Week 1.

Will Jaylin Lane contribute at wide receiver in 2025? The Commanders are clearly excited about Lane’s potential, particularly in the deep passing game. However, he will serve as the team’s punt returner on Day 1.

Washington’s sixth-round pick is based on projection. Late-round picks are not guaranteed to make the roster, but the Commanders are invested in Medrano. Linebackers coach Ken Norton Jr. coached him at UCLA, and the coaches are intrigued by his combination of size and speed and ability to play linebacker or potentially safety. Medrano has a chance to be a special-teams standout beginning in training camp.

Yes, Washington’s seventh-round pick earned a higher rating than the sixth-round pick. Almost everyone agrees that Croskey-Merritt would go much higher than the seventh round if he had played last season. Croskey-Merritt is a balanced back and can give the Commanders something different in 2025 outside of Brian Robinson Jr. and Austin Ekeler. He will play.

Jacksonville’s Travis Hunter was Madden’s highest-rated rookie, earning an 84 rating.
