Bologna are in for a defensive revamp, as Sam Beukema is pushing to leave for Napoli, while Stefan Posch has interest from Germany.

The Rossoblu won the Coppa Italia and therefore qualified for the Europa League next season, consolidating their status with coach Vincenzo Italiano.

However, Beukema is eager to move on and is getting increasingly frustrated at the lack of progress in negotiations between his club and Napoli.

According to Il Resto del Carlino newspaper, via Tuttomercatoweb, Beukema’s father visited the Bologna head office this week to openly request a transfer.

He had also met with Napoli director of sport Giovanni Manna two days ago as a representative of Global Football Management.

There is a big gap between Bologna’s €30m asking price and the most recent proposal from Napoli, which is thought to be around €25m.

Meanwhile, Atalanta have decided not to use their option to buy Posch outright from Bologna.

German transfer expert Florian Plettenberg notes that he has interest from several Bundesliga sides, and should be quite cheap considering his contract only runs to June 2026.
