With the rise of tunnel ‘fit obsession, athlete-brand partnerships and sporty runways, fashion and sports have become more intertwined than ever. And few stars represent that intersection as well as the WNBA’s Cameron Brink.
Industry collabs and campaigns have been ramping up for the L.A. Sparks player and tunnel ‘fit icon while she continues recovering from a torn ACL. Her latest is with California-based jewelry brand Gorjana, which invited Fashionista to a recent dinner it hosted with Brink in Los Angeles.

Out of context, I would’ve assumed the 6’4″ beauty was a model, and it turns out she almost was:
“I actually was scouted to be a model and then told I was too tall. So I think now it works perfectly,” she shared. She’s posed for a Skims campaign and two fashion magazine covers, just in the last couple of years. “I think being a model’s pretty cutthroat. So I’m glad that I’m a basketball player and can do fun stuff on the side.”
Over Aperol spritzes, we also chatted about the rising fascination with athlete style, teaming up with brands and other industry aspirations — including her dreams of making shoes “for tall girls and the trans community.” Watch the video above.
