Kim Kardashian Walks the Balenciaga Couture Runway—In Elizabeth Taylor’s Earrings

Surprise! Kim Kardashian made a guest appearance on the runway at the Balenciaga fall 2025 couture show in Paris earlier this morning. (It was designer Demna’s last show for the French label, before heading over to Gucci.) Kardashian is no stranger to walking for Balenciaga, of course: The star also made a cameo in the fall 2022 couture presentation a few seasons back. Serving as a muse to Demna throughout the years—and a frequent wearer of the brand at events like the Met Gala—Kardashian was sure to end her Balenciaga era on a high note.

Her look? Demna’s ode to the glamorous Hollywood icon Elizabeth Taylor. Kardashian wore a skintight lingerie-style slip dress, paired with a giant feathered coat slung off her shoulders. She slinked down the catwalk like an Old Hollywood siren, and it was only fitting, given she was also wearing Taylor’s personal jewels: a pair of diamond pendant earrings once worn by Elizabeth Taylor, on loan for the occasion from the jeweler Lorraine Schwartz.

Taylor was known to have an extensive and valuable jewelry collection in her heyday, and Lorraine Schwartz—the jeweler to the stars—created many of her dazzling pieces. While the label loaned the earrings specifically for the show, it would not be wild to assume that Kardashian had bought them. The reality star and Skims founder is a huge collector of Taylor’s jewelry, having bought several of her pieces at auction. (In 2011 Kardashian purchased three jade bracelets designed for Taylor by Lorraine Schwartz for a cool $64,900.)
