Jets have top-10 offensive line in NFL

The offensive line is expected to be a strength of the 2025 New York Jets. Offensive tackles Armand Membou and Olu Fashanu, consecutive first-round picks, are tasked with forming an ascending duo at the bookend positions. Guards Alijah Vera-Tucker and John Simpson are proven assets inside. Center Joe Tippmann is expected to take a sizable step forward as one of the best young pivots in the game.

Pro Football Focus recently ranked all 32 offensive line units in the league. They share our vision for the Jets’ O-line, recognizing the potential they are headed into the season with. The Jets’ offensive line ranked No. 9 in the league.

The Jets have a chance to end up much higher on this list as the season goes on if their young offensive tackle duo plays up to its potential,” Zoltán Buday wrote. “The team is turning the page from veteran tackles Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses to first-rounders Olu Fashanu and Armand Membou, and one of the league’s top interior offensive lines will anchor the group.

Guards John Simpson and Alijah Vera-Tucker both ranked among the 12 highest-graded guards in football last season, and second-year center Joe Tippmann earned a 73.4 PFF overall grade, which placed him eighth among centers.”

Jets general manager Darren Mougey and head coach Aaron Glenn had terrific offensive lines in Denver and Detroit last year respectively. Together, they understand the importance of fielding an effective blocking unit, as both teams qualified for the postseason in 2024. A top-10 offensive line could have the Jets more competitive in 2025 than most realize.
