Princess Charlotte made a polished appearance at Wimbledon’s final day on Sunday, walking alongside her mother Kate Middleton in an outfit that subtly echoed her most iconic footwear choices to date: a pair of cream-colored Mary Jane flats that closely resemble the Papouelli “Siena” style she’s worn on past occasions.
The 9-year-old royal stepped out in a sleeveless ivory dress featuring a pleated bodice, flounce hem and black ruffle piping that traced the neckline and sleeves — a prim but playful silhouette that nodded to her growing style consistency.

But it was her shoes that stood out as the most recognizable element: what appear to be the same Papouelli Mary Janes she wore during the 2024 Trooping the Colour parade and several times throughout 2023. The shoes feature cream leather uppers, a rounded toe, a low-profile sole and a buckle strap.
Charlotte’s possible rewear points to a pattern in her dressier shoe choices, favoring traditional styles that still feel practical for her age. At Trooping the Colour just last month, she opted for a very similar, if not the same, silhouette. And during the family’s Christmas Day service in Sandringham last December, she wore black patent leather ballet flats beneath her tartan coat, again anchoring her outfit with classic, child-friendly footwear.

Next to Charlotte, the Princess of Wales wore a custom cobalt Roksanda dress, styled with rewears from Cartier and Ralph Lauren — including her Celia Pumps in RL Gold Calfskin — as well as new gold jewelry from Daniella Draper.
Throughout the years, the young princess has become a reliable bellwether of timeless children’s footwear. With pairs from Papouelli, Childrenchic and Sam Edelman often appearing in rotation, Charlotte’s closet reflects a curated approach to event dressing — much like her mother’s. And while the Mary Jane silhouette may currently enjoy fashion’s larger resurgence, on Princess Charlotte, it remains less of a trend and more of a signature.
The Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte were among the high-profile guests attending the final day of Wimbledon on Sunday, where Italy’s Jannik Sinner defeated Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz in four sets to win the 2025 men’s singles title.
