England spinner Shoaib Bashir has sustained a fracture to one of his left fingers and has been ruled out of the remainder of the Test series against India.
He is scheduled to undergo surgery later this week.
Bashir came up with the match-winning wicket of Mohammed Siraj in the third Test at Lord’s to give England a 22-run victory and a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.
England will name their squad for the fourth Test at Emirates Old Trafford in the next couple of days.
