'Next Gen NYC' Star Emira D'Spain Can't Resist Those Viral Guizio Mini Skirts

What’s the opposite of gatekeeping? Welcome to “Payment Processing,” in which we ask stylish, generally cool people who’ve tried it all about their favorite fashion and beauty buys.

Emira D’Spain may have gained a lot of new fame and followers since appearing on Bravo’s latest reality venture “Next Gen NYC,” but she’s anything but new to New York’s fashion and beauty scenes.

After graduating from New York University, the multi-hyphenate moved to the city full-time and jump-started a career in the beauty industry, first interning at Paper Magazine, where she later became the publication’s beauty director. From there, she dove into modeling and content creation, amassing more than 1.3 million TikTok followers and securing groundbreaking collaborations with Victoria’s Secret.

While her impressive work ethic and bubbly personality are evident across social media, “Next Gen NYC” brought these entertaining characteristics to an even bigger stage. The reality show may be produced (cast members often have inner monologues playing over scenes), but somehow an even more authentic version of D’Spain is able to shine through the screen and captivate the audience.

Whether she’s confronting someone over a rude comment about her dinner choices or emboldening friends to stick up for themselves, D’Spain has established herself as a fiercely loyal big sister-type. So who better to turn to for shopping advice?

Read on for D’Spain’s current beauty and fashion picks, including the pieces she’s constantly restocking, the top item on her beauty wishlist and more.

What’s a luxury beauty item you’re into right now?

I’ve been obsessed with the La Mer Body Crème lately. It’s ultra-luxurious, insanely hydrating and leaves my skin looking soft, radiant and glow-y. I’m already due for a restock.

Also, the new Dyson Airwrap just dropped and I need it immediately. I’m a Dyson girl through and through, and this new version looks 10 times more iconic than the last — the upgraded attachments look so major.

What’s a drugstore/mass market beauty item you’re eyeing right now?

Anything E.l.f, honestly! The Halo Glow is totally worth the hype — it gives that lit-from-within look without feeling heavy, and you can wear it underneath foundation or on its own.

I’ve also been on a serious K-beauty kick, and Medicube has become my favorite brand. Its skin-care tech is next-level. The PDRN Serum has especially been a literal lifesaver for my skin.

What’s a beauty staple you love so much you’ve bought multiples?

There are a few ride-or-dies that I always repurchase: The Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream has been in my routine since 2020 and I still reach for it daily — it’s that good. Especially if you have dry skin and struggle with makeup looking patchy, trust me. Use this underneath your skin prep before glam and your skin will thank you.

Also, the First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub is a summer must-have. It’s the best exfoliant I’ve ever used for keeping skin super smooth and baby soft, and of course, it gets rid of those little bumps all along your arms and legs.

What’s an accessory you’re eyeing right now?

The Van Cleef & Arpels Sweet Alhambra 16-Motif Necklace is next on my wishlist. I already own the diamond 10-motif, which I wear every single day, and I think this longer version, double-wrapped as a choker, would layer so beautifully. It’s delicate, timeless and perfect for a birthday gift to myself.

What shoes do you want to buy right now?

It’s always Rene Caovilla for me. I own around 15 of their sandals at this point and they’re truly the most beautiful, meticulously crafted shoes. I got to spend time with the brand during the last season of Milan Fashion Week and see them being handmade — it made me fall even more in love. I also have a personal relationship with the brand, and meeting Giorgia Caovilla (Rene’s granddaughter) was so special. Every pair feels like a piece of art. I’m currently lusting after this pair.

Any other luxury fashion items you’re lusting after?

I’m not usually a clutch girl or a Bottega girl… but the Bottega Veneta Andiamo Clutch has me rethinking that. It’s minimal, structured and goes with everything — the perfect mix of elegance and edge. I’m such an Hermès girl usually, but I’m ready to branch out!

What’s an affordable fashion item on your shopping list?

Another Guizio mini skirt, no question. They’re so flattering, feminine and versatile. I swear by them — every girl needs one in her closet. I also love the sequin ones!

What’s a wardrobe staple you love so much you’ve bought multiples?

Skims — anything they make. I have so many of the tees and tanks in every color. The quality is insane — some of the pieces I bought when the brand first launched still look brand new. It’s timeless, elevated loungewear that I end up living in. I fully feel like I spend more time in Skims than I do in an actual look.

What’s the last product a friend influenced you to buy?

My mom actually convinced me to try the Dr. Jart+ Vital Hydra Solution Pro Glow Face Mask with Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Masks — they’re her holy grail and now I totally get the hype. I use them before events and they make my skin look so plump and hydrated. Makeup goes on like a dream afterward. I’m fully obsessed.

What’s the last product an influencer or celeb influenced you to buy?

I don’t get influenced too often — I usually just buy what fits my vibe. But Rebecca Hessel Cohen from LoveShackFancy is the one person who consistently makes me want everything. Her pieces are so feminine, whimsical and romantic. I’ve been obsessed with the brand for years — I basically own half the store at this point!
