Tyla Blends Minimalism and Streetwear with Luxe Amina Muaddi Heels

Tyla continued to showcase her taste in designer sandals while in New York City on Thursday, stepping out in a satin Amina Muaddi set that complemented her frayed shorts and crop top. She was out and about before the Friday release of her new EP “WWP.”

The brown satin heels combined minimalism with glamour, featuring a slender strap across the foot and one across the big toe, both adorned with small, crystal-embellished buckles. The shoes otherwise featured an open back, a stiletto heel, and a rounded toe; the signature pink hue of Amina Muaddi subtly accented the brown satin.

The South African singer, who also wore Alaïa gladiator sandals and studded Alexander Wang sandals this month, accented her Amina Muaddi sandals with a gold chain anklet, fitting in with a major accessory trend which has been gaining momentum lately. Tyla’s glamorous footwear looked rounded out an ensemble featuring white foldover mini shorts with a prominently distressed hemline and a fitted crop top reading “Keep calm and party” — seemingly a nod to her album title, which stands for “We Wanna Party.”

While the 23-year-old musician has a penchant for heels, she was also just featured in the Nike Air Max Muse campaign alongside Jordan Chiles.

Amina Muaddi, a brand favored by many celebrities, has recently expanded its retail presence. The luxury label, founded by designer Amina Muaddi in 2018, opened its first standalone store, located at 6 Avenue Montaigne in Paris, earlier in July.

“Having a store means having a home, both for our customers and the brand. We are so excited to be able to connect with our community, to let clients experience the brand not just through product but visually, physically and emotionally,” Muaddi said in a statement. “This is only the beginning of a long, new journey within retail, and it’s a huge milestone to be able to start from Avenue Montaigne — the dream address for fashion and luxury.”
