Former NBA All-Star Makes New Post After LeBron James Accusation

Former NBA All-Star Makes New Post After LeBron James Accusation originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

LeBron James’ longevity may be the most impressive aspect of his NBA career. Even at 40 years old, the Los Angeles Lakers star is coming off a season in which he made the All-Star team and the All-NBA second team and finished sixth in MVP voting.

Very few players remain in the NBA at 40 years old, let alone make All-Star and All-NBA teams, but James has, and many have questioned how he has stayed as good as he has for all these years. Former NBA star Jeff Teague claimed that James used steroids back when he played for the Miami Heat, though he didn’t name any specific dates.

“He was on steroids, bro… allegedly,” Teague said on The Club 520 Podcast, aggregated by the X account Fullcourtpass. “They started testing for HGH, and he had to sit out. He said his back was hurting and he sat out for, like, three weeks… then came back skinny.”

Making such an allegation is very serious, as Teague alleged that James was breaking the rules. Since Teague made these comments, he has walked back on them. Teague took to his personal Instagram story to dispel the rumor he spread that James was using steroids back when he played for the Heat.

“Y’all weird I was joking about bron he was just that dominate chill,” Teague wrote, which was aggregated by the X account NBACentral.

Teague entered the NBA in 2009 and made the All-Star team in 2015 when he played for the Atlanta Hawks. Throughout his career, he faced James in the playoffs twice with the Hawks in 2015 and 2016 when James played for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavaliers swept both series.
