The Row's $690 Flip Flops Crowned Fashion's Hottest Item

The Row’s Dune Sandals are fashion’s latest must-have item; searches for the style surged by 162% this quarter according to The Lyst Index, which released its Q2 (April to June) 2025 report on Wednesday.

The rubber-sole flip flops, which retail for $690, have garnered plenty of commotion among fans and critics alike for their minimalistic design and triple-digit price tag. Jonathan Bailey sported a black pair recently, which contributed to the spike in interest. Along with taking the top spot on the hottest-product list, the Olsen twin-owned label achieved its highest ranking to date on Lyst’s hottest-brands list, coming in at number six.

Elevated basics perfect for summer capsule wardrobes were clearly in high demand. Joining The Row on the podium for hottest products are a Skims tank top (#2) and Adidas’ Classic Sprinter Shorts (#3). Lyst specifically saw a 230% spike in demand for Skims’ Cotton Rib Tank Top. Searches for athletic shorts rose 78% thanks to cosigns by celebs like Harry Styles, who wore a read pair on the streets of London in June.

In an environment of economic uncertainty and tariff chaos, many fashion consumers embraced lower-cost accessories and footwear this quarter. Priced under $200, Vibram’s V-Soul Flats and Ancient Greek Sandals’ Iro Ballet Flats took the fifth and sixth spots, respectively; while retro-inspired styles like Isabel Marant’s Bekett Sneakers and Prada’s Collapse Re-Nylon Sneakers came in at eight and nine.

As for the hottest fashion brand in Q2, Miu Miu is back on top, officially dethroning Loewe (which took the silver), with some help from its trendy suede boat shoes, which also ranked fourth on the hottest-products list. Saint Laurent, Prada and Coach rounded out the top five placements. Burberry reentered The Lyst Index after a year away, coming in at number 17 thanks to growing demand for its menswear. Birkenstock was another new addition to the list this quarter at 19, and Cos remained the only “high street” brand in the top 10 at number seven.
