Rob Gronkowski Doesn’t Hold Back About Shirtless Tom Brady: ‘Looking Good for 60 Years Old’ originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Rob Gronkowski didn’t miss the chance to poke fun at longtime teammate Tom Brady during Monday’s appearance on “The Dan Patrick Show.” Asked about the recent wave of shirtless Brady photos circulating online, Gronkowski leaned into the moment.
“No, I would have never thought that,” Gronk said when Patrick asked if he expected Brady to become a regular in shirtless headlines. “He was always a little bit nervous to take his shirt off in the locker room. He had more of a dad bod when he was playing. I feel like he got trimmed up a little bit. He kind of has a six-pack. All that baby fat and playing fat that he had is totally off him. He’s looking good!”
Then came the punchline: “Looking good for 60 years old.”
Brady, who turns 48 in August, is long removed from hiding his “dad bod” in the locker room and no longer shies away from maintaining a meticulous physical regimen. Even in retirement, the seven-time Super Bowl champion continues to make headlines — this time not for his arm, but for his abs.
The NFL added fuel to the buzz on Friday by posting a collage of Brady’s headshots from each season of his 23-year career.
The caption read: “Before the rings, during the rings, after the rings.” Fans quickly noticed how well Brady has aged, with many pointing out his apparent physical transformation in retirement.
Brady spent 20 seasons with the New England Patriots and three more with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, winning a combined seven Super Bowl titles and redefining longevity at the quarterback position.
While Gronk’s comments were laced with humor, they also highlighted Brady’s post-career evolution. No longer carrying what Gronk called “playing fat,” Brady’s current physique has social media buzzing and longtime friends like Gronkowski firing off one-liners.
