Emma Myers took a high-gloss approach to gothic glamour at the London premiere for the second season of “Wednesday,” arriving in ruby red Jimmy Choo sandals that sharpened the edge of her romantic lace look.
The shoes — the Etana 80 strappy heel sandal — featured crisscross vamp straps and a thin adjustable ankle buckle, rendered in mirrored ruby leather. The squared-off toe was softened by the fluid placement of the upper straps, while the heel, a clean 4-inch spike, added an angular contrast to the curve of the foot. The soles were smooth leather, with a lightly padded insole that kept the silhouette sleek but wearable. According to Jimmy Choo’s website, the Etana is currently sold out.

Myers styled the Etanas with a bright crimson lace mini dress featuring sheer long sleeves, a gathered high neckline, and layered micro ruffles through the skirt. The dress combined puffed shoulders and a corset-style bodice, creating a silhouette that felt both sharp and theatrical — a deliberate foil to the sandals’ sleek construction. A deep plum lip and side-swept bangs added to the dark romanticism of the look.
This isn’t the first time Jimmy Choo’s Etana has made a high-profile appearance. Chloe Bailey wore a satin version of the same silhouette at the 2024 MTV VMAs last fall, while other styles from the brand — like the Saeda and the archival feather-trimmed 72138 sandal — have appeared on recent red carpets and podcasts alike. For Myers, the Etana offered a sculptural balance to the sweetness of her dress, leaning into the show’s eerie-meets-elegant aesthetic.
The “Wednesday” premiere at Central Hall Westminster kicked off the “Summer of Woe” marketing push for the second season, with part one set to debut Aug. 6 on Netflix. Myers reprises her role as Enid Sinclair alongside Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams, whose now-iconic “tired girl” aesthetic has reshaped beauty trends with its smudged liner and undone energy. While Ortega may carry the darker palette, Myers’ red-laced moment signals a slightly brighter — but still haunted — counterbalance.
