Teyana Taylor brought a high-gloss, low-to-the-ground silhouette to SiriusXM Studios on Tuesday, pairing Nike’s women’s-exclusive Air Max Muse sneaker with a full black, leather-heavy look that balanced structure and texture.

Released earlier this year, the Air Max Muse has quickly become a standout in Nike’s 2025 rotation — and Taylor chose one of its most futuristic takes yet. Her pair featured metallic silver overlays across a black mesh upper, exaggerated rubber pods at the toe and sides and a bubbled heel inset that’s become a signature of the model. A black Swoosh cut into the side panel, just above a sculpted arch that helped exaggerate the curve from sole to collar. With her leather pants pooling just above the outsole, the shoe’s chrome elements stayed visible.

This isn’t the first time Taylor has tapped an eye-catching sneaker to define her style both on- and off-duty. Earlier this summer, she wore her own Jordan Brand collaboration — the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 “A Rose From Harlem” — while promoting “Straw” in New York. At Coachella’s Neon Carnival in April, she laced up the pearl-embellished Vans x Satoshi Nakamoto sneakers, a resale favorite known for its blend of streetwear grit and surrealist finish.
Here, the Nike Air Max Muse signals a sharper, more refined turn. Designed specifically for women, the silhouette fuses comfort with a sci-fi profile — a move Teyana has embraced in recent months. Nike tapped Tyla and Jordan Chiles for its latest campaign for the Muse, and the brand is continuing to position the shoe as both lifestyle staple and fashion statement. “The silhouette goes with a lot of things, and it’s super comfortable,” Tyla said in a July release.

Taylor styled the look with oversized black leather trousers, a black belted crop top and a voluminous tech jacket detailed with a sharp shoulder and subtle zips. A silver chain belt echoed the sneaker’s metallic upper, while slick shades and a sharp cat eye finished the monochromatic look.
With “Escape Room” — her first visual album since returning to music — set to drop later this month, Taylor’s appearance offered a sharp, press-day snapshot of how her sneaker choices continue to shape the arc between artist, actor and style authority.
