Founder: Faith McCoy Scriven
Origin Story: Faith McCoy Scriven is the founder of CocoLash, a beauty company crafting dermatologist-tested lashes “for every shade of beauty,” and the owner of True Glory Brands, one of the largest and longest-standing Black-owned hair extensions companies in the United States. CocoLash began as “a simple idea to create easy-to-apply, comfortable and stunning lashes” and has since turned into “a community-driven brand that celebrates the unique beauty of every individual.”
Scriven is also a classically trained pianist who debuted with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at 14 and later gave a solo recital at Carnegie Hall while completing her Master of Music at Manhattan School of Music. Today, under the moniker DJ L8DY8, she spins uplifting house-to-afro-beat sets for private events.
