Cole Haan has delivered the most innovation in the history of the company with its fall 2025 campaign, “Cole Haan Comfortable.” The collection is grounded in the belief that true style should never come at the expense of feeling good, and introduces the brand’s most advanced technology in its almost 100-year trajectory.
With the motto “Feel what’s possible,” the campaign illustrates how its products provide comfort for people in their stressful, day-to-day moments, like dropping their kids off at daycare, commuting to work or lugging a suitcase around town.

“I’ve been proselytizing this around the company for two years now: For fall 2025, the company is going to deliver the most innovation and newness in the history of the company. That is a massive feat in such a storied brand that’s almost 100 years old,” Cole Haan’s chief creative officer Scott Patt told Footwear News. “This moment was such a great opportunity for us to reassert that duality and be very sharp with that idea of comfort and style coming together. ‘Cole Haan Comfortable’ was really an awesome representation of those two things, and reintroduces and introduces us to so many people.”

The brand is also actively reacting to the current state of the footwear industry and consumer trends with this collection, responding to a demand for sneakers, painless dress shoes, and high heels.
The footwear company is incorporating its SkyWeave Cushioning Technology into its new, dual gender Grand Pro SkyWeave Sneakers. The technology features lightweight cushioning trusses and high-traction outsoles that deliver a springy, responsive bounce, which proved to be a hit when it was added to a men’s Grand 2.0 Oxford last year.
“We listen a lot, and we’re very connected to how this is resonating from a consumer standpoint. It was one of our best-selling Oxfords at full price for many months. So we knew we had something with the platform,” Patt said. “Getting it into a lace sneaker made all the sense in the world, especially when you think about the continued casualization of the culture. You walk around the city streets and everybody’s in sneakers. So this was a no-brainer for us to get our pinnacle technology into a great sneaker.”

Further pushing the hybrid category, it helped pioneer that is currently trending in the shoe space, Cole Haan is delivering its dressiest hybrid to date: the OriginalGrand CitySpectre Collection. The collection includes oxfords, loafers, and boot styles with EnergyFeel Foam—its athletic-inspired cushioning system that delivers sneaker-like comfort.
“If you go back to when our first hybrid, the original Grand, came out, that was a white space. There’s always been unique shoes, combining this and that, but Cole Haan really was responsible for defining the white space of hybrid sneakers,” Patt said. “For a decade, thankfully, because of a lot of hard work, we have owned that. We have driven that, we’ve got a great deal of share within that zone for men, and even on the women’s side of that business.”
After its 2019 debut, the Grand Ambition women’s footwear collection returns with Grand Lux Technology, re-engineering the loafers, pumps, booties, slingbacks and ballet flats with new technology that enhances forefoot padding and underfoot layering for plush cushioning. “We’ve taken everything out of the shoe you don’t need, and we’ve replaced it with as much cushioning and as much comfort underfoot as possible, so you can finally have an all day pump,” he said. “And then if you want to wear the boots, you can have that all day boot.”
The Ledley Grand Cap Toe Oxfords retail for $298, and feature the FlexCraft Comfort Technology.

But perhaps their most groundbreaking addition in this collection is the FlexCraft Comfort Technology, which makes the heel on a men’s dress shoe compress and flexible, making a leather shoe feel like a sneaker.
“We have created a patent-pending technology that essentially revolutionizes the 200-year-old technology of stacked leather in a men’s dress Oxford,” Patt said. “It’s super lightweight, it looks incredibly crafted, it flexes and it just has great cushioning underfoot. It is bonkers. This is going to be an amazing launch for the brand and in this space, it is redefining. Nobody has ever done this before. The Grand Rev with FlexCraft is going to be a big one.”

The new collection has set a new standard for the company, creating a new barometer for success. “We judge our success in terms of, is the shoe ‘Cole Haan Comfortable’? Does it meet up to the standard of being a product that belongs in the brand? It’s really a rallying cry and has become very foundational for us in frankly every aspect of what we’re doing,” Patt said, adding, “I’m very proud of that for the team. We’re all excited to see how that resonates.”
